About
Who is Eddie Beatss?
Thank you.
I am a 19 year old bedroom producer with an infinite passion for music. I've been singing since age 5 and producing music since my family got our first iMac when I was 7. I found myself instantly drawn to GarageBand – I would mess around with "Apple Loops" and make songs with my brother. I discovered how to record our songs using a toy USB microphone that came with a Wii game. I eventually started to realize that there was more to just clicking and dragging premade loops into my GarageBand projects. Using YouTube tutorials and a lot of trial and error, I learned how to use the stock instruments and synths to make my own songs. I got a MIDI keyboard, the Korg microKEY 37, and started to use my keyboard skills to play chords and melodies.
Through practice, and equipment upgrades over time, I've produced numerous instrumental pieces, remixes, and original songs (with lyrics). I now use Logic Pro X and Ableton Live 10 to produce songs and beatss for my friends, collaborators (usually turned friends), and even myself... On June 29th, 2018, I released my first song Infinity with my friend Zhané (vocals). After dropping my second single Into Me, I released my first collaborative album on August 31st, 2018 called Theory. The album is available on all streaming services, and you can read more about it HERE. There is definitely more to come and I can't wait for you to hear it all.
I am currently studying at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU Tisch.
What kind of music do I make?
I originally started by making EDM and Tropical House beats heavily inspired by Kygo, Avicii, and Michael Calfan, but in addition, I now love making Hip-Hop/Trap/R&B beats, as well as mainstream Pop songs.
